Discover King’s Lynn (King’s Lynn BID) launch King’s Lynn’s first ever ‘Business Week’

The event, which runs from 15-18 October, will see Discover King’s Lynn, the Business Improvement District for King’s Lynn, organise the first ever business week for the town.

The week celebrates the diverse range of high quality services, skills, expertise, talent and entrepreneurship that exists in our town and offers inspiring and informative workshops, B2B networking opportunities and, on Tuesday 16 October, a chance for you to ‘Meet the Experts’.

Sessions throughout the week include, free Cloud accounting training with SAGE Software, wellness in the workplace, how to make the most of LinkedIn, protecting your business against cybercrime and employee engagement.  Talks include the regeneration of King’s Lynn, and a highly engaging and practical session giving insight into how people want to buy.

The week rounds off with ‘The debating chamber”.  Local businessman Simon Ring of Ring Associates, will talk about his experience from 18 years of trade in King’s Lynn.  Chris Scargill from Larking Gowen will share statistics and insights into the value of tourism to our local economy.  Wayne Hemingway will discuss his journey from fashion designer to place-making and coastal regeneration consultant.

King’s Lynn has a vast amount of professional services and the event is designed to showcase this   It also provide an opportunity for local levy payers to broaden their knowledge base and to network with industry colleagues.”
